Governance software provider Diligent has launched Diligent Community, its next-generation tool designed to help public organizations simplify the end-to-end agenda and meeting management process.
The tool was designed to help public boards, including state and local governments, school districts, libraries and community colleges, improve agenda and meeting management while ensuring accessibility, increasing transparency and boosting community engagement via a fully secure and streamlined process, Diligent said in a news release.
“We recognize that digital transformation poses a number of challenges to public organizations that have limited resources and expertise,” MarKeith Allen, senior vice president and managing director of mission-driven organizations at Diligent, said in the release. “With Diligent Community, we are delivering on our commitment to provide solutions that will simplify processes and management so that public organizations and their leaders can get back to focusing on their purpose and mission.”
Among the benefits Diligent expects for public boards is improved engagement via a public request to speak feature, increased efficiency thanks to customized workflows for meeting preparation and enhanced inclusivity from compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG), as well as open meeting laws.
Diligent Community joins other Diligent platforms, such as BoardDocs and iCompass, expanding on the company’s roster of offerings for boards and councils in public education and local government.
