Recent reporting has revealed that federal agencies received instructions to remove more than 150 specific terms from government websites and materials following President Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting DEI programs and so-called “woke” language. But these changes go well beyond the halls of government; CCI wants to understand how Trump’s orders are affecting organizations across all sectors — and we’re seeking the input of corporate integrity leaders.
According to The New York Times, the list includes common terms in corporate communications, such as “diversity,” “equity,” “inclusion,” “bias,” “accessible” and “underrepresented.” Many organizations, from global corporations to small nonprofits, are now reassessing how they communicate about these topics.
CCI is conducting a survey to gather insights from leaders who may be tasked with reviewing and modifying language in corporate materials. Your responses will help us understand emerging trends and provide guidance to professionals navigating these linguistic challenges. We invite you to participate in this important research. Your experience could help fellow corporate integrity leaders address similar situations in their own organizations. All responses are anonymous and cannot be traced to individuals or their employers.
