About the Author

James A. Losey is a partner in Thompson Hine LLP's Washington, D.C., office.  He is a member of Thompson Hine’s International Trade & Customs practice group and the firm’s anti-bribery compliance practice. He advises clients on transactional, compliance and enforcement matters related to export controls, economic sanctions, conflict minerals and anti-boycott regulations. He also counsels clients on compliance with the anti-bribery and corrupt practices laws of the United States and other countries. In addition, Losey has significant international law and policy experience: he assists clients in advancing their interests in the multilateral decision-making processes of international treaties and organizations and in shaping national laws and regulations to implement countries’ obligations resulting from such processes.
