authID, a biometric identity verification provider, has signed an agreement with TurboCheck to integrate its identity verification services into TurboCheck’s candidate screening platform amid rising concerns about AI-generated fake identities in hiring processes.
TurboCheck, which provides digital identity verification for employers and staffing firms, will use authID‘s technology to verify candidates through document validation and facial biometric matching. The partnership aims to address growing employment identity fraud, with 31,200 confirmed cases of employment-identity theft or wage fraud reported last year, according to FTC data.
“Hiring fraud is an escalating challenge for employers globally, with AI-driven fake identities and deepfake videos becoming more prevalent,” said Emmanuel Toutain, chief executive officer of TurboCheck. “authID’s seamless biometric identity and document verification was far superior in meeting our clients’ demands to verify valid candidates and weed out deepfakes and fraudulent identities with speed, precision and accuracy.”
