Jason Meyer is the author of LeadGood and the Chair of NJCCA’s Ethics, Governance, and Compliance Committee. He was previously the Committee’s Secretary.
Jason has a wealth of in-house and compliance experience. He just completed his tenure as Chief Legal Officer, Corporate Secretary, and SVP, Ethics and Corporate Compliance for Kaplan EduNeering in Princeton, which itself is a leading provider of compliance training and on-line learning management. In that capacity, Jason served as the company’s compliance officer, and also consulted with dozens of other corporate counsel on how they could build compliance programs that met “best practices.” He also served as that company’s legal expert on pharmaceutical and medical device commercial compliance.
Previously, Jason was founder, President and Publisher of the award-winning and innovative LAWCAST® audio legal news services – the leading legal information service of its kind. Its publications included Intellectual Property LAWCAST, Corporate Counsel LAWCAST and Employment and Labor LAWCAST. He served as General Counsel for that company, as well as for other media organizations. Jason began his legal career as a litigator at Miami’s Steel Hector & Davis, and then in New Jersey at Lowenstein Sandler, and Dechert.
Jason is also Consulting Counsel to the management consulting firm RES Partners.
Jason has also been a regular commentator on business law for CNN, and is a three-time Cub Scout Den Leader. Jason earned his law degree cum laude at the University of Pennsylvania, and his B.A. in Public and International Affairs with high honors from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School.
