Chris Kronenthal brings the experience of a successful technology innovator to the hardware infrastructure management and software development processes of FreedomPay. With more than a decade of experience in diverse industries covering payment processing, healthcare and bio-sciences informatics, Kronenthal advances a security-focused perspective to the scalable needs of any company.

Prior to joining FreedomPay, Kronenthal was the application and technology manager for the Coriell Institute for Medical Research, the world’s oldest and largest bio-repository. There he led the development of Coriell’s highly specialized bio-repository ERP system known as “Queue.” Further, Kronenthal spearheaded the development of the world’s largest online catalog of bio-specimens — the Coriell Cell Repositories Catalog.

Kronenthal’s other international experience includes information technology projects in Italy, Germany and China. He developed an interoperable electronic health information platform concept that was presented in China’s first-ever, government-sponsored Healthcare Information Technology symposium in 2006 alongside offerings from Siemens, GE and Kodak. In Germany, Kronenthal personally facilitated one of the first international clinical data exchange programs for an organizational leader in Huntingdon’s Disease research. This internationally renowned research collaborative uses Queue as its backbone for clinical and repository data storage.

Kronenthal received his bachelor of science and master of science degree in information technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
